This piece was shown as a part of a group exhibition located in the US. The curator of the show had decided not to use a wall in the middle of the exhibition space and wanted it removed. However, that was not possible; it had to stay. Shortly, before the install of the show, I was on road trip. While driving, I saw all these billboards along the road, which are so characteristically for the urban landscape of America. Occasionally, a billboard was not in use, and it would say available, for rent or for lease together with a phone number. After that, I decided to rent out the wall in the exhibition space for 10$ per day.
